Dear Soccer Squirrel,

Football is an interesting sport - and I am enjoying Australia's rise up the rankings, it helps soften the blow from our slide down the cricket rankings. However, after watching Mr Nigel's run last night it really is all about the the Dogs!! All other sports are inferior to greyhound racing(otherwise known as "the sport they punt on in heaven"). I suggest a one-on-one interview with the great dog himself - his return from diabetes to finally crack the big one at Sandown would inspire all sporting followers no matter their race, creed or breeding. Please consider

Kind Regards

Dogman

Thanks for your comment Dogman. Yes it looks like Greyhound racing and the World Game are the two major growth sports in Australia at the moment.

The comeback of Mr. Nigel has been quite astounding and all of us here at the Soccer Squirrel got a nice little earner from him last night.

I'll see if that interview can be arranged.

It's amusing how I still came across this article whilst checking out info on FIFA 2014. at least they made it to the Group stage back in FIFA 2010.
